Thanks to all who came out to BERC Alumni Night 2018!
On the evening of Thursday, April 26, BERC hosted Alumni Night at the offices of WSGR in San Francisco, bringing together alumni, current students and friends of BERC for a night of networking, fun and fundraising.
Two BERC co-founders, Matt Price and Will Coleman, took us on a trip down memory lane, describing the excitement and unique challenges of starting BERC almost thirteen years ago. From skeptical professors to last minute fundraising, their stories show just how far the organization has come: from a few students with a big idea to today’s 1,000+ strong organization.
The evening ended with a very lively and successful live auction, in which four of BERC’s esteemed Advisory Board members auctioned off their time to benefit the club. The valiant efforts of Severin Borenstein, Will Coleman, Matt Price and Rachel Slaybaugh helped raise over $3,000 for BERC to continue to provide high-quality events and programs.
A special thanks to Grace Hsu (former BERC co-president and current Advisory Board Chair, who hosted us and gave a heartfelt speech about her own BERC experience), WSGR, our brave auctioneers, Deep Shah (Director of Alumni Relations) and Kevin Corlett (VP of Development) for their hard work organizing such a great event!
