Do you know a student, staff member or professor at UC Berkeley who’s helping the campus transition to a more sustainable clean energy future? Or someone teaching the next generation of decision-makers about the environmental challenges we all face? Here’s your chance to honor that sustainability leader, through the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability’s annual awards.
The committee is accepting nominations of students, faculty, staff and friends of the community who are helping to make the campus a more sustainable place to live and work. Past honorees include the team that led the gorgeous, LEED Gold redevelopment of Lower Sproul Plaza, the Global Environmental Theme House and campus planners rethinking how the UC Berkeley community gets to work and school.
Nominations will be accepted through March 22, and Chancellor Carol Christ will recognize winners at the committee’s Sustainability Summit on April 25. More information about the nominations can be found at https://sustainability.berkeley.edu/cacs/cacs-sustainability-awards.
