Hey Guys! We’ve had a busy quarter so far – take a look at what we’ve been up to over the last few weeks.

Women in Tech + Social Impact

The Stanford Women’s Community Center held their first Work Series panel this quarter on  Women in Tech + Social Impact! SEC members Yatian Qu, Lexi Butler, and Jessie Lad were among the panelists, and talked extensively about making an impact in the tech industry!

SunWork Solar Installation Training Session

The SWEP (Solar, Wind, and Energy Project) community partnered with SunWork to hold a solar installation training session on February 4th on campus. Everyone who attended is now qualified to help install solar panels with SunWork across the Bay Area.

SEC Student Panel at Cleantech Week

We had the privilege of hosting a panel at Cleantech Week 2017 in San Francisco on student leadership and research in energy! Thanks to Austin Sendek, Vikhyat Chaudhry, and our other officers who were part of it.

Q&A with Jigar Shah

The GSB Energy Club and SEC held a lunch Q&A session with Jigar Shah, the cofounder of Genrrate Capital and SunEdison. Jigar spoke about his pioneering work in financing renewable energy projects, the vision he brought to Generate Capital, and what the future has in store for the energy industry!
