Speaker: Dr. Lakshman Guruswamy
Bio: Dr. Lakshman Guruswamy, a nationally and internationally recognized expert in International Environmental and Global Energy Law, will share his experience. He is the director of international energy programs at the Getches-Wilkinson Center, and his research uses interdisciplinary frameworks to explore how and why energy justice calls for the fashioning of practical energy solutions for the energy poor inhabiting the least developed parts of the world. Dr. Guruswamy has authored over 50 scholarly articles published in law reviews and other peer-reviewed journals and was the recipient of the 2016 Senior Scholar award granted by the Environmental Academy of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
