Academics Team
The Academics team is primarily responsible for planning and running MBA 294, the Clean Energy Speaker Series (CESS) course at Haas, which takes place each fall semester. Besides CESS, the team also manages BERC's database for energy- and resource-related course offerings and works to build connections across the Berkeley Energy community, including faculty, labs, and climate change centers.

Events & Programs Team
The Events team manages all events and programs associated with BERC. This includes BERCshops, Speaker Series, Treks, Cleantech Pitch Competitions, Hackathons, and, most notably, the Energy & Resources 101 kickoff at the beginning of the semester. This role is expansive and often supports the other teams, particularly with Summit, Symposium, and Membership.

Finance Team
The Finance team manages BERCs significant budget. This involves budgeting and cashflow management. They also are responsible for managing the BERC debit card and expenses. Finance also works to secure other grants, such as GRSO funding and TGIF grants.

Marketing & Analytics Team
The Marketing & Analytics team manages all of BERC’s external communications. This includes managing the monthly blog, the website, social media, and design. It also includes looking at analytics and improving engagement/growth with alumni and current students. The Marketing team helps promote events and ongoing activities that BERC is engaged in.

Membership Team
The Membership team is responsible for recruiting and engaging BERC members. This is through the BERC Dispatch that is sent out weekly to our listserv, organizing Happy Hours and bonding events, and collaborating with student liaisons at different graduate programs to increase overall participation at UC Berkeley. The VP also manages the mentorship program.

Sponsorship & Careers Team
The Sponsorship team manages the range of sponsors that support BERC financially. VPs work to strengthen BERC’s portfolio of sponsors, manage sponsor/alumni relations, and encourage donation count/size. They also are working with BERC alumni to expand industry representation. Sponsorship also works to secure other grants, such as GRSO funding and TGIF grants.
The Careers team serves as a proactive link between the BERC community and climate leaders, mentors, and companies in the Bay Area. This includes monitoring and sharing job opportunities with the BERC Slack & Listservs, as well as developing a career repository, and planning career panels and networking events.
