BERC Cleanweb Hackathon

BERC Cleanweb Hackathon: Brave New Hacks
Friday November 18th 5pm – Saturday November 19th 9pm
Calling all scientists, software engineers, policy makers, designers, and entrepreneurs: please join us for the 4th annual BERC Cleanweb Hackathon! The election results will be in and our uncertain future requires some brave new hacks. Teams are challenged to create new ideas in the energy, resources, legal, and political sectors, using their hacking, data, and policy skill set. Food and beverages will be provided by BERC.
The Hackathon will be hosted at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS), an amazing collaborative working space located in the beautiful Doe Library on UC Berkeley’s campus. We will be holding a team formation and ideation session on the Friday evening, so all you need to bring is yourself and your best ideas to build something incredible! We’ll also have an expert team of mentors on hand to assist you with your hacking needs throughout the weekend.
$1000: Best software project
$1000: Best visualization project
$500: ‘Bravest Hack’ (People’s choice!)
