LEEF is on the look for new enthusiastic members!

LEEF seeks to build a platform to connect students, alumni, faculty members, and professionals on their shared interest in energy development and environmental protection in Latin America. It’s working to build a multidisciplinary network that promotes discussion towards achieving a cleaner and sustainable future within the Latin American region.

LEEF has three main goals:

  • Provide useful tools for UC Berkeley students for academic purposes
  • Host events to promote energy and environmental issues in the Latin-American region
  • Provide guidance, counseling and career orientation through a networking platform of alumni and faculty members

Amongst LEEF´s planned activities are the creation of a web platform that will provide the opportunity to know Latin American professionals and learn more about the region. LEEF´s web platform will also host a database for research and academic aid, a blog which will foster academic discussions, webinars, interviews to professionals, and related news with academic and information exchange purposes.

Likewise, LEEF aims to connect students with professionals, and UC Berkeley pro bono and career offices, to develop internships, projects and pro bono opportunities.

LEEF is too a Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) working group.
