International Renewable Energy Case Competition

A business case competition focused on finding renewable technologies that are immediately applicable in emerging markets, the International Renewable Energy Case Competition (IRECC) is organized centrally by Investors Beyond Borders.  BERC will be organizing the US Semi-Finals – Round One of competition will take place in March and business plans will be judged by local experts from Silicon Valley and the surrounding cleantech community. Winning teams will advance to the final round, to be held in an emerging market.

 

Round One:

January 2010: Emerging Market is announced and teams are formed

March 2010: After research into the selected emerging market, appropriate technologies, and feasibility, teams will present their business plans to a panel of expert judges.  Teams will fly in from a variety of schools around the United States to compete, and judges will select one winner from the US who will move on to round 2.

 

Round Two:

May 2010: Winning teams will convene in the emerging market to compete for the grand prize.
