Programs

Academics - BERC takes an active role in supporting academic programs and curriculum in energy and resources at UC Berkeley.  Learn about energy and resources course offerings, certificate offerings, and curriculum development.

Berkeley Energy Connections (BEC) -BEC is an effort by BERC and the Environmental Energy Technologies Division (EETD) of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). The three primary aspects of the program are a web application to connect students with lab researcher ideas and project offers, a bi-weekly IdeaLab at LBNL, and a semi-annual graduate student outreach event for EETD.

BERC Innovative Solutions (BIS) - BIS offers public and private sector clients the opportunity to engage student consulting teams to address energy and resource issues on projects ranging from short brainstorming sessions to semester-long engagements.

Students for Environmental Energy Development (SEED) - The K-12 educational initiative SEED enables UC Berkeley students to teach East Bay school students about global warming and energy alternatives through a project-based curriculum.

Cleantech to Market (C2M) - C2M matches multidisciplinary student teams with inventors from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in order to bridge the gap from lab to market for promising clean technologies.

Idea Labs - Sponsored by Big Ideas @ Berkeley, Idea Labs facilitate collaboration between students from a variety of academic disciplines pursuing research in related fields.
