Energy Curriculum

Overall Objectives, students will be able to:

• Explain energy issues to parents
• Identify different energy sources and how they’re used
• Explain basics of global warming and greenhouse gases
• Define key terms relating to energy issues
• Identify and advocate strategies/options for improving energy outlook
• Identify negative environmental impacts of energy use
• Identify personal activities that create pollution

Water Curriculum

Overall Objectives, students will be able to:

• Identify how habits relate to food/water consuption/environmental impacts
• Propose solutions to food/water availability issues
• Understand general/specific water cycles
• Name dangerous substances/pollutants in water
• Identify health issues with water supply
• Define key terms
• Evaluate how food relates to environmental resources
