interesting urban agriculture project for a business law or business student
Hello BERC members,
Over the summer, I worked for an
organization called MyFarm (http://myfarmsf.com), a San Francisco-based decentralized urban
farming operation. They've been successfully producing vegetables in
the foggy city for the past year or so, and they're a great group of
passionate neo-farmers who hit the ground running with their business
model and built their >100 farm organization with no initial
capital. However, they've sort of run out of steam recently, and are
looking for ways to transition from a corporation to an employee-owned,
possible non-profit.
If anyone with knowledge of business and/or business law is looking
for a project this semester and this sounds intriguing, please contact
myself (helenhaki@gmail.com) or Kelly Gleason (kelly@myfarmsf.com).
Best,
Helen Aki
