Who we Are

BERC counts many Cal alumni and working professionals among its active members and supporters.  BERC seeks to foster communication, collaboration and education across the growing population of Berkeley alumni working in fields related to energy and environmental resources, and to build closer ties between education & research at Berkeley and professionals in the Bay Area.

What we do

Alumni are welcome to attend regular BERC events on campus, advertised on BERC's calendar and through BERC's Forum email list.  In addition, BERC maintains a lower volume alumni email list to advertise events of specific interest to the alumni community, including off-campus lectures and networking events, tours of Bay Area energy facilities, the annual Energy Symposium and the BERC Annual Lecture.

Last spring, BERC co-sponsored a Strawberry Creek Service Day on Berkeley's campus with the Berkeley Environmental Alumni Network (BEAN).  The event provided an opportunity for students and alumni to get together outdoors while performing environmental restoration work on Berkeley's campus.
