In the last 10 years, the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative (BERC) has grown immensely and created a thriving community of interdisciplinary students tackling the world’s most pressing energy and resource challenges. To commemorate it’s 10th anniversary BERC produced a video that summarizes what past and current BERC leaders are thinking about. First Berkeley CUP Winners Announced

The Berkeley Energy and Climate Institute (BECI) and Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC) are pleased to present the Department of Energy (DOE) sponsored Berkeley Cleantech University Prize (CUP) to Nelumbo from UC Berkeley. After a rigorous application and presentation process, our esteemed panel of judges awarded Nelumbo the $100,000 grand prize.

Seven startups to compete for $100,000 prize in first ever Berkeley Cleantech University Prize

On Thursday, February 18 at 5pm (Sibley Auditorium), seven student-based startups from across the western region will compete in a pitch competition for the $100,000 grand prize in the first ever Berkeley Cleantech University Prize (Berkeley CUP).

E2e Energy Efficiency Research Design Competition Call for Proposals

The E2e Project is hosting an energy efficiency research design competition and seeks innovative proposals from junior faculty, post-doctoral researchers, and graduate Ph.D. students. The winner of the competition will receive $25,000 in seed funding to proceed with the proposed research! The deadline is December 31, 2015.

First Berkeley CUP Workshop this Friday!

Please join us for the first workshop in a series of four Berkeley Cleantech University Prize events, to be held on Friday, November 20th in Sutardja Dai Hall at UC Berkeley. Lunch will be provided on a first come, first served basis for registered attendees!
