This year's Co-Presidents come with a variety of experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to furthering BERC's presence on the UC Berkeley Campus - and beyond!

"BERC is at an exciting time in its trajectory – in our short existence we have attracted over 3,000 members and established a strong presence across campus. 2012 is an awesome opportunity to step up our game even further!" - Josh Lich

Josh comes to BERC with five years of prior energy experience, most recently as a manager in Accenture’s utilities practice.  He also has experience in other realms: as a board member for an environmental nonprofit, a leader of the business society at UCLA, and has taken a leadership role on a BIS project for the Vice Chancellor.

Many of you may recognize Alex from his role as the liaison to the Materials Science and Engineering Department.  He also helped to organize a panel for the symposium, and served as a plenary panelist at the symposium, or from his work on the BERC-BIS consulting project with the Berkeley Energy Climate Institute (BECI).

"The sustaining pillars of BERC are the members, the education, and the engagement opportunities. We must look ahead for new ways of promoting energy and resources that will benefit not only established members, but also the next generation of students and professionals, and also the energy community as a whole." -Alex Luce
