Curriculum Development - Education Through Involvement
BERC students have helped pioneer new interdisciplinary curriculum around energy and resources issues.
BERC helped spur the creation of a new Center for Energy & Environmental Innovation (CEEI), through which members will have the opportunity to work on real projects for the private and public sector. We have also turned our Cleantech to Market (C2M) program into a curricular offering available to all graduate students. Many students are additionally eligible for indenpendent study credit for participation in our BERC Innovative Solutions (BIS) consulting program.
Additionally, the following courses were instigated by BERC student members:
- ChemE 295F – Battery Technologies
- ER 299 – Cal Climate Action Partnership Seminar
- LAW247 – Energy and Infrastructure Project Financing
- MBA290T/ENG298A/INFO290 – Energy, Sustainability, and Business Innovation
